Artist Statement


My sculptures originate from the movement of energy. An invisible yet pervasive force that flows through the human body, the nervous system, urbaninfrastructures, rivers, pipes, cables, and music according to the same underlying logic. These works are not static objects but arrested movements: condensed processes fixed in a single moment, where energy bends, breaks, turns back on itself, and then finds a new direction.



Improvisation is not a stylistic gesture in my practice but a fundamental condition. The twisting, tubular structures follow the logic of jazz: there is an initial direction, yet along the way continuous decisions are made. Changes of direction are not mistakes or failures but necessary responses to shifting circumstances. Just as life never unfolds along a single straight line, my sculptures resist closed forms and definitive narratives.

Forms reminiscent of trumpets and wind instruments evoke the physical presence of sound and air. Here sound is not audible but embodied; the path of breath becomes material. The works balance playfulness and tension, organic softness and the rigidity of industrial systems. These oppositions do not cancel each other out but coexist in a dynamic equilibrium.

Material choices and surface treatments deliberately preserve traces of process. Smooth and scarred, polished and raw surfaces appear side by side as temporal markers. The forms are never ‘perfect,’ because energy itself is never perfect; it always carries the memory of decisions, errors, and corrections made along the way.

My sculptures reflect the moments of directional change in life. They focus on the instant when a familiar trajectory breaks and a new movement begins. Rather than offering solutions or conclusions, they hold an open state: one of motion, searching, and continuous flow. A tense yet liberating condition in which energy finds a new path.
